While wildlife sightings are less frequent in winter, you may still spot animals such as snow leopards, Himalayan ibex, and blue sheep. Wildlife encounters depend on timing, location, and a bit of luck.

• Carry Warm Clothing: Even in summer, Spiti can be very cold. Pack layers, thermal wear, and a -10°C winter down jacket for winter visits.

• Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to prevent altitude sickness. Carry a refillable water bottle.

• Network Connectivity: Jio, Airtel, and BSNL generally work best in Spiti. Vi (Vodafone Idea) may lose connectivity from the first day itself.
